David Levin, MD, professor of radiology emeritus at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, will serve as distinguished lecturer at the UC Department of Radiology’s annual Schwinger Lecture. Levin’s presentation will focus on the appropriateness (or lack thereof) of today’s imaging, exploring why inappropriate imaging occurs and how clinicians can work remedy the situation.
Levin was awarded the Gold Medals (the highest honors) of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society in 2002, American Roentgen Ray Society in 2003, American College of Radiology in 2006, Association of University Radiologists in 2008, Radiological Society of North America in 2009 and Society of Interventional Radiology in 2010. In 2008, an endowed chair was established in his honor at Thomas Jefferson University: The David C. Levin Professor and Chair of Radiology.
