Time: 10:10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Location: Kettering Hall, Kehoe Auditorium

Description:

Joseph Jacobson, PhD, gives a seminar at the UC College of Medicine Department of Environmental Health titled: Number Processing Impairment in Children with Prenatal Alcohol Exposure.

Jacobson’s work focuses on developmental psychology—the study of physical, cognitive, and social changes from conception to death—and looks at how our ever-changing environment (PCBs, alcohol, etc.) can influence behavior. He is regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern pediatric environmental health research as it relates to the development of the fetal and child brain.
