UC Health and the UC College of Medicine will host an on-campus event Friday, Feb. 4, to celebrate National Wear Red Day.
This event is being held as part of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign to raise awareness about the nation’s No. 1 killer: heart disease.
From 10 a.m. to noon, the University Hospital Health Awareness Team will be doing free blood pressure screening in the lobby of the hospital. At noon, a "Go Red” group photo will be taken in the University Hospital lobby followed by a keynote presentation delivered by Stephanie Dunlap, DO, UC Health cardiologist, and her patient Amanda Hodge in Medical Sciences Building Room 2351.
Heart healthy treats and door prizes will be distributed. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for the Heart Mini Marathon and Walk, scheduled for Sunday, March 20.
