West Chester Hospital 7700 University Court Dr. West West Chester, Ohio
West Chester Hospital is offering free prostate screenings for men age 50 and older on Saturday, February 26, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Reservations for the free prostate screenings are required and space is limited.
A full prostate exam, involving both a digital rectal exam and prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test, will be available at the screening event and are recommended to ensure accurate results.
The American Cancer Society recommends that men should have an annual prostate exam beginning at age 50 unless they fall into a higher risk group, such as African American men, who should begin testing at age 45, or men with a family history of prostate cancer, who should begin receiving annual exams at age 40.
Men interested in receiving their free prostate screening test should call 513-298-FAST (3276) by February 11 to set up an appointment. A physician order is not required for this exam.
