The Vontz Core Imaging Lab (VCIL) will host an open house Friday, May 20, 2011, from 2 to 5 p.m. Any researcher interested in utilizing this core facility—located in the basement level of the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies—is welcome to attend and learn more about non-invasive preclinical imaging services available.
The VCIL is equipped with multimodal systems tailored specifically for use in small animals and capable of 3D imaging and nuclear medicine techniques, including computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission tomography (SPECT), X-ray and bioluminescence.
Both University of Cincinnati-affiliated researchers and community investigators can apply to use the facility for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee-approved research protocols. For more information on the open house, call (513) 558-7930. For more information about the lab, visit the VCIL website.
