CCTST Grand Rounds on Adaptive Clinical Trials

Description:

The next Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) Grand Rounds will focus on adaptive clinical trials, studies in which accumulating trial results are analyzed frequently with the possibility of modifying their future course.

From 11 a.m. to noon, Donald Berry, PhD, will present "Adaptive Clinical Trials: A Necessary Step toward Personalized Medicine.”  Berry is head of the division of quantitative sciences, University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

From noon to 1 p.m., Mi-Ok Kim, PhD, will present "Statistical Heresy: Response Adaptive Randomization in Clinical Trials.” Kim is associate professor of pediatrics in the division of biostatistics and epidemiology, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC).
