The eighth annual "Looking Upstream for Environmental Links to Breast Cancer" public education forum will take place Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Julia Brody, PhD, executive director of the Massachusetts-based Silent Spring Institute, will give the keynote address. Brody is a leader in research on breast cancer and the environment and in community-based research and public engagement in science. Her presentation is titled, "Who's Minding the Store? Suspect Chemicals in Everyday Products and Pollution."
The forum is presented by the Cincinnati Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Program (BCERP) and the Breast Cancer Registry of Greater Cincinnati to provide timely information on potential environmental links to breast cancer and an update on BCERP's ongoing research.
Registration is $20 and includes a buffet breakfast and educational materials. Nursing continuing education credits are available. |
