Why University-Industry Partnerships Matter is the focus of Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) Grand Rounds on Friday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room E-351 of the Medical Sciences Building (MSB).
Featured speakers are Anthony Boccanfuso, PhD, executive director of the National Academy of Sciences University-Industry Demonstration Partnership, and William Ball, MD, UC interim vice president for research. They will discuss specific efforts under way to advance academic-corporate research collaborations; contemporary issues affecting industry-university partnerships; and resources and programs available to increase faculty- industry engagement.
CCTST Grand Rounds, made possible by a National Institutes of Healht Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), are free of charge and open to the public. Continuing Medical Education credit is offered.
