"An Ethics Roadmap to Translational Research” will be presented at the next Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) Grand Rounds on Friday, Sept. 21.
The featured speaker is Lainie Friedman Ross, MD, PhD, the Carolyn and Matthew Bucksbaum professor of clinical ethics at the University of Chicago, where she serves as associate director of the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics and co-director of the Institute for Translational Medicine.
Ross will define the translational research pathway and the ethical challenges that arise, present published case studies along the translational pathway that did not adequately address ethical challenges and discuss the ethical challenges raised by health policies.
Made possible by a National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), CCTST Grand Rounds are free and open to the public. Continuing education credit is available.
