In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the University of Cincinnati (UC) Cancer Institute is hosting a reception and breast cancer information fair on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. Free and open to the public, the event will take place at the UC Health Barrett Center, located at 234 Goodman St., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the second floor lobby.
Guests will hear from physician speakers and breast cancer survivors as well as have access to materials highlighting breast cancer risk factors, treatment options and community resources.Raffles and refreshments are also available. Guests are encouraging to wear pink to show their support in the fight against breast cancer.
The Barrett Center is the adult outpatient care facility of the UC Cancer Institute, one of four UC and UC Health centers of excellence.
