Description:

Non-adherence is a significant problem among transplant patients and is most successfully impacted through an interdisciplinary approach. This program is designed to provide a scope of the non-adherence issues in this population, adherence assessment and interventions tools, and an overview of strategies used to improve adherence.
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and allied healthcare professionals working in the field of solid organ transplantation.
Speakers include:
- Marie Chisholm-Burns, PharmD, Dean and professor, University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy
- Ahna Pai, PhD, adherence psychology, UC Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Center for the Promotion of Adherence and Self-Management, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
- Sandra Cortina, PhD, psychology, Director of Clinical Services, Center for Treatment Adherence, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
