Doriane Miller, MD, director of the University of Chicago’s Center for Community Health and Vitality, and Norma Sanders, program manager with Chicago’s Southwest Smart Communities Partners, are featured guests of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) Community Engagement speaker series Nov. 13-14.
The series begins Tuesday, Nov. 13, with a presentation and panel discussion, "Community Assets, Resources & Partnerships: Leveraging Community Resources for Health,” from noon to 2 p.m. in MSB E-351.
A community reception and awards dinner, "Power in Communities to Improve Health,” follows from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The series concludes Wednesday, Nov. 14, with a community forum and coffee hour, "Innovative and Collaborative Models for Addressing Health Disparities in Our Community,” from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mayerson Academy, 2650 Highland Ave.
