| David Cortez, PhD, of Vanderbilt University, will give a presentation titled "Genome Maintenance During DNA Replication" as part of the UC College of Medicine Department of Cancer Biology Winter Seminar Series.
Cortez serves as a professor of biochemistry in the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. His work focuses on genome integrity, specifically the regulatory mechanisms that control the cell cycle, DNA replication, and DNA repair.
The presentation is part of the 2013 UC Department of Cancer Biology's Winter Seminar Series and is open to all interested faculty and staff. It will take place from noon to 1 p.m. January 31 in the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies.
The UC Department of Cancer Biology is part of the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute, one of four UC College of Medicine and UC Health institutes. Together the UC Cancer Institute and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute form the Cincinnati Cancer Center. |
