UC Health West Chester Hospital is offering free colon health community seminars March 27 and 30, 2013.
Seminar topics will include how the colon works, how diet and digestion affect the colon as well as a variety of chronic non-cancerous conditions. Topics related to cancer to be discussed include screening and early detection, testing and diagnosis, and advanced treatments available. Physician presenters will answer questions such as: How does family history and lifestyle impact the likelihood of developing colon cancer? What causes cancer of the colon? What are the latest surgical and non-surgical treatments available for diseases of the colon?
