The University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute will host a "Look Good, Feel Better" program for women undergoing cancer treatment on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hoxworth Building, room 3010.
"Look Good, Feel Better" is a free non-medical, product neutral program offered in collaboration with the American Cancer Society, Personal Care Products Council Foundation and Professional Beauty Association/National Cosmetology Association.
In these sessions, volunteer beauty professionals teach women how to cope with skin changes and hair loss using cosmetic and skin cancer products donated by the cosmetic industry. Attendees receive free cosmetic kits customized to skin type. Women also learn ways to cope with hair loss with the use of wigs, scarves and other accessories.
The event is free, but registration is required by calling Julie Behan at 513-584-2634.
