Stereotactic radiosurgery involves the destruction of cancerous tissue with precisely targeted beams of radiation. The UC Brain Tumor Center team has pioneered “frameless” radiosurgery which allows the patient be fitted with a fabricated, noninvasive mask versus fixation of a rigid, invasive stereotactic head frame attached to the skull with pins.
