Bilibox
UC's Fred Beyette, PhD, and Joe Clark, PhD, designed the Bilibox to quickly detect the presence of bilirubn in spinal fluid. Xanthostat Diagnostics--a Cincinnati-based start-up company designed to develop technologies to improve detection of certain types of bleeding in the brain--is currently working to further develop the Bilibox prototype.
