Staining of rpS6 (green) and p53 (red). In normal conditions rpS6 is found inside the nucleus associated with nucleoli (yellow arrows). In the same cells the levels of p53 are low. A defect in the expression of rpS6 results in a complete loss of rpS6 in the nucleus and to a consequent accumulation of p53.
