Cincinnati—Two College of Pharmacy alumnae are among the five UC
alumnae to be honored at the 1998 Women's Studies Presents on April 10.
Gloria Niemeyer Francke, PharmD, and Candace Kendle, PharmD, will receive the honor at the event sponsored by the Friends of Women's Studies and UC Alumni Association.
has been involved in editing, writing, and publishing bulletins,
journals and books on pharmacy practice and she owns a publishing
company, Drug Intelligence Publications. She has also held positions in
pharmacy practice and teaching at Purdue University, University of
Michigan, University of Cincinnati, The National Library of Medicine,
American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP), American
Pharmaceutical Association (AphA), and the Veterans Administration.
is the CEO of Kendle International Inc., a global leader in the
clinical development industry. Prior to founding the company, she held
a number of academic positions, including adjunct associate professor
at the UC College of Pharmacy and clinical associate professor of
pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania.
