On Thursday, Nov. 21st, at the Queen City Club downtown Cincinnati, the College of Nursing’s Board of Advisors hosted a "Thank You” reception to update and seek input from past sponsors of the Florence Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing, the college’s annual event that recognizes professional nurses in the Greater Cincinnati region for their contributions to direct patient care.
UC College of Nursing Dean, Greer Glazer welcomed and thanked the attendees and the board presented plans for the 2014 Nightingale Awards dinner. Additionally, Cheryl Hoying, sr. vice president for patient services at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) spoke to the group about why the event is important to CCHMC. The group then discussed what they like about the Nightingale Dinner as well as ways to improve the event in the future. Representatives from nine local businesses attended.
