The College of Medicine Admissions Committee is seeking volunteers to interview prospective medial students through the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) process.
During the MMI, applicants participate in a series of six-eight-minute conversations with up to eight volunteer interviewers. The college started using the MMI process in 2009 (the first medical school in the country to do so) in order to find students who not only look outstanding on their transcripts, but also excel in communication and decision-making.
Faculty and staff from all colleges with a background in hiring, judging character, working in teams, management and leadership are especially adept for the interview process. Interviewers cannot have a first degree relative, or they themselves, applying to medical school in the next 3 years.
There are three MMIs scheduled per month until the close of the season in March. Volunteers may participate in as many sessions as they wish.
