Cincinnati—Judy Chin, research assistant to Ram Singh, MD, professor of medicine in the Division of Immunology, has received a Gini Finzi Memorial Student Fellowship to work on project entitled "Construction of Self Peptide-Encoding Minigenes to Induce Peptide-Specific CD8 & T Cells that Suppress Autoimmunity in Lupus Mice" from the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. in Rockville, Maryland. Chin plans on continuing her education in science and is one of only ten student recipients selected in 1999 to receive the $2,000 award from the Lupus Foundation.
