Cincinnati—University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy graduates
have out performed pharmacy graduates from all other Ohio schools on
the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX). NAPLEX
announced that 100 percent of the UC graduates taking the test achieved
licensure as registered pharmacists on their first attempt during the
summer testing window.
"We congratulate our students on their
success and our faculty for doing an exceptional job educating our
students," states Daniel Acosta, PhD, dean of the College of Pharmacy.
The national passing rate was 90.3 percent, and the overall state
passing rate was 92.6 percent. Ohio Northern University had a 91.2
percent passing rate, Ohio State University had a 92.0 percent passing
rate, and the University of Toledo had a 90.9 percent passing rate.
These results help UC continue its strong tradition of surpassing
Ohio's and the nation's passing rate.
