The 17th annual Pilot Research Project (PRP) Symposium presented by the UC Education and Research Center (ERC) is a showcase of the ERC's Pilot Research Training Program, which serves to increase the capacity of research trainees and young investigators in occupational health and safety fields. The PRP Symposium will highlight research in occupational and environmental health and related disciplines.
The two-day symposium will be held at Procter Hall on:
Thursday Oct. 13, 1-5 p.m.
Friday Oct. 14, 8am -noon
The symposium kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. with keynote speaker Anita Schill, PhD, senior science advisor to the director and co-manager of the Total Worker Health® Program from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Schill will present "Advancing Well-Being Through Total Worker Health.”
On Friday, research presentations will begin at 8 a.m., followed by discussion of presentation topics.
Since 1999, the PRP Training Program has allocated approximately $2 million dollars to support over 200 pilot research projects. The ERC is supported by NIOSH and is one of 18 centers nationally.
