Kevin Oeffinger, MD, a professor in the Duke University Department of Medicine’s Division of Medical Oncology, will present "Against the Grain: Bringing PCPs "Back” into Cancer Care Through Onco-Primary Care” at noon, Wednesday, March 14, in Medical Sciences Building 7051. Oeffinger’s talk is part of Medical Grand Rounds. He is on campus as a result of collaboration between the UC Cancer Survivorship Program, the Department of Internal Medicine, the Department of Family and Community Medicine and Children’s Hospital Medical Center Survivorship Program.

Oeffinger is also director of the Duke Center for Onco-Primary Care and director of Duke Cancer Supportive Care and Survivorship Center. Oeffinger has an impressive track record of NIH-supported research in cancer screening and survivorship and has served in a leadership capacity in various cancer-focused and primary care-focused national committees and organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Cancer Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
