MacKinnon and Boone Inducted Into National Academies of Practice
The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy congratulates Dean Neil MacKinnon, PhD, and Professor Jill Boone, PharmD, on their 2018 induction into the National Academies of Practice (NAP), as distinguished practitioners and fellows in pharmacy, a subgroup of NAP.
Fellowship in NAP is reserved for those who have spent 10 or more years of their career in the practice and delivery of health care services and who are judged by peers to have made enduring contributions to their professions.
"Dr. Boone has been a leading national and international champion for both the profession of pharmacy and for interprofessional practice. Her induction demonstrates that others outside of UC recognize her expertise and leadership in these two areas,” says MacKinnon.
"This is a great honor and well-deserved recognition of the talent and leadership we have at the College of Pharmacy,” says Kristi Nelson, PhD, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at UC. Both Boone and MacKinnon were inducted at NAP’s 2018 Annual Meeting and Forum in Atlanta, held April 13-14.
