Community Presentation Focuses on UC Research on Women's Cancers

Cincinnati--Women's Cancers: UC Research That Affects You A seminar and panel discussion about local research on women's cancers will be presented Thursday, October 19, 7 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. The Vontz Center is located on the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Eden Avenue. Parking is available for a fee in the Eden Avenue Garage. Attendees will learn more about biomedical research that is being conducted "in our own back yard" at the University of Cincinnati (UC) Medical Center. UC scientists will discuss their research and how it is contributing to our understanding of cancers, like breast and ovarian, that primarily affect women.

You don't need to be a scientist to understand and there'll be time for your questions at the end. Your attendance will also send a message to scientists that research in women's health is important. There is no charge but space is limited, so register early. The event is sponsored by the UC Women's Health Program, the Breast Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and The Barrett Cancer Center.
