Benefit for The Barrett Cancer Center Raises $69,000

Cincinnati--Fashion: Undercover, a fashion show held earlier this month, raised $69,000 for cancer research at The Barrett Cancer Center, University of Cincinnati. The sold-out show had a James Bond theme. "The theme was to show that unlike the movie Mission: Impossible, cancer is something that is a possible mission at The Barrett Center," said Debie Crosset Warkany, event co-chair. "Our goal was to raise $25,000, but we ended up raising $69,000." Kenneth A. Foon, MD, director of The Barrett Cancer Center, said, "The fashion show was a great way to raise awareness in the community about cancer research. The funds raised will directly touch the lives of those affected by cancer."
