Cincinnati--Connie (Ragiel) Wilson, RN, professor, University of
Cincinnati College of Nursing, is the recipient of a major grant. She
received a professorship in psychiatric nursing grant from the Ohio
Department of Mental Health (ODMH) of $70,000 over a two-year period.
It is the first time the Department of Mental Health has given a
professorship to a psychiatric nurse in Ohio, although it has given
many such grants to psychiatrists.
"It sends a strong message
of support for the Health Resource Center being an interdisciplinary
training center," says Andrea Lindell, DNSc, dean of the UC College of
Wilson will also present the workshop session, Street Youth: A Population at Risk,
with Kevin Finn at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 in Kresge Auditorium, UC
College of Medicine, as part of the UC Department of Family Medicine's
full-day conference entitled "The Changing Face of Homelessness in
Cincinnati." Conference information can be found on the www.homeless.uc.edu web site or call Sharon Mullen at (513) 853-4350.
