Pharmacy Graduates Are Best in the State

Cincinnati--University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy graduates have out performed pharmacy graduates from all other Ohio schools on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy announced that of the 69 UC graduates taking the test, 98.4 percent achieved licensure as registered pharmacist on their first attempt at taking the test during the summer testing window.

The national passing rate was 90.6 percent, and the overall state passing rate was 95.1 percent. Ohio Northern University has a 94.7 percent passing rate, Ohio State University has a 92.5 percent passing rate, and the University of Toledo has a 86.8 percent passing rate.

All of the UC graduates passed the second part of the licensure examination, which is the Jurisprudence Examination. These results help UC continue its strong tradition of surpassing Ohioís and the nationís passing rate.
