Cincinnati--Women often experience a decreased sexual desire after
menopause. Diminished sexual desire can lead to feelings of
unhappiness, concern and frustration, and can impact a woman's
relationship with her partner.
One UC clinical trial currently
enrolling participants involves use of a testosterone patch that is
designed to improve sexual desire in menopausal women. During this
study, women participants at sites throughout North America and
Australia wear a thin, nearly transparent, prescription patch
discreetly on the abdomen.
