Central Clinic Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
The Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recently announced that Central Clinic has been accredited for a period of three years for its Assessment and Referral, Case Management, Outpatient Treatment and Prevention programs. This is Central Clinic's first application and the first accreditation awarded to them by this international accrediting commission.
This accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
Central Clinic, a nonprofit community mental health agency, is celebrating its 80th year of providing services to adults, children and families in Hamilton County. The Central Clinic is part of the UC Department of Psychiatry and is located on the UC Medical Center campus.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966, CARF is the accrediting body that establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
