College of Medicine to Host Scholarship Benefit Concert
The University of Cincinnati’s (UC) College of Medicine will host the 2nd Annual IvaDean Scholarship Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the College of Medicine’s Kresge Auditorium, 231 Albert Sabin Way.
The event, which features musical performances from College of Medicine faculty, staff and students, aims to support the IvaDean Medical Student Scholarship Fund for medical students in need of financial assistance.
The fund, named after IvaDean Lair, assistant dean in the College of Medicine, was created in 2003 from that year’s outgoing class as a way to pay tribute to Lair’s “influence on medical students.” Lair has served the medical college for more than 40 years.
Tickets are $5 for students and $25 for all others. All proceeds will directly support the IvaDean Scholarship Fund. To purchase tickets or make a donation to the fund, call (513) 558-5577, visit www.med.uc.edu/ivadean.cfm, or send a check payable to the UC Foundation/IvaDean Scholarship Fund to the 2nd Annual IvaDean Scholarship Benefit Concert, Medical Sciences Building, 231 Albert Sabin Way, Cincinnati, OH 45267-0552.
