Many special things happened at the College of Medicine this year, and many more are in store for us all in 2005. You are an exceptional group of people, and the work you do is important and appreciated, more than you probably know.
The profession of medicine is always challenging, frequently exhilarating, occasionally frustrating, but never boring. I am amazed each and every day by the extraordinary students, faculty and staff who make up the College of Medicine, and am proud to count myself among you.
So, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and the very warmest of wishes from me and our staff in the Dean's Office. May you all revel in your successes and delight in your families and friends. The new year promises to be one of discovery and celebration, and I look forward to spending it with you.
