I am very happy to announce the appointment of Jan Hawk as interim senior associate vice president and chief financial officer for the College of Medicine and Academic Health Center. The appointment is effective immediately.
Jan has a long history of service with the University of Cincinnati serving first with University Hospital and then Hoxworth Blood Center. She has held numerous other positions increasing in responsibility and most recently serving as executive director and controller in the Academic Health Center’s office of finance and administration.
Jan serves on many Academic Health Center and university committees providing her significant administrative and financial expertise. She has extraordinary knowledge of all financial aspects of the Academic Health Center and will play a pivotal role as we move forward in what are obviously difficult financial times.
Jan will retain her current position as executive director and controller. She is filling the position formerly held by Bob Ambach, who recently was named senior vice president of administration and finance for the university.
