Shutdowns Scheduled for Sept. 18

Two shutdowns are scheduled on the medical campus for Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, to allow for maintenance to be performed.

The annual East Campus Utility Plant Steam shutdown is scheduled from 6 a.m. until midnight.
During this time there will be no steam distributed within the following buildings: Cardiovascular Research Center, Radiation Safety, Eden Garage shops, Health Professions Building, Wherry Hall, Kettering Complex, Logan Hall, Medical Receiving, Medical Service, Medical Sciences Building, CARE/Crawley Building, French East and Surgical Research Unit. Any equipment requiring steam or hot water will be affected. This may affect temperatures in these buildings. Note that Procter Hall, University Hall, the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Hotel and the Vontz Center are not included in this shutdown.

There will be an electrical shutdown from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for the following buildings: Cardiovascular Research Center, CARE/Crawley Building and East Campus Utility Plant. These buildings will have no power except egress lighting, existing emergency power receptacles and the required elevators.
