Medical Students Host Fundraising Week for Pakistan Floods

students affiliated with the Student National Medical Association, the American
Medical Student Association and the American Medical Association are hosting
events throughout the week to raise funds for flood relief in Pakistan.
Wednesday Sept. 8, Shakila Ahmad from the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati
will speak from noon to 1 p.m. in MSB E-351 along with Inyat Malik, MD,
urologist and president of the Islamic Educational Council. Ahmad was Cincinnati’s
Woman of the Year in 2001.
will sell Mediterranean food during the event.
Thursday, Sept. 9 – Bake sale from noon to 1 p.m. in the CARE/Crawley atrium.
Sept. 10 – Breakfast sale starting at 7:30 a.m. in the CARE/Crawley atrium. The
sale ends when the food is sold out.
