Sakr Named FIP Fellow

Adel Sakr, PhD, emeritus professor of industrial pharmacy and pharmaceutics in the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, has been named an FIP Fellow by the Féderation Internationale Pharmaceutique (FIP). The honor recognizes individual FIP members who have distinguished themselves in the pharmaceutical sciences or practice of pharmacy and have served FIP. Fellows may use the designation "FFIP.”
Sakr will be recognized Sunday, Sept. 4, during the opening ceremony of the 2011 FIP Pharmacy World Congress in Hyderabad, India. He is currently board of trustees chair assistant and provost for graduate education, research and international affairs, at Future University in Cairo, Egypt.
