Discover Research During National Undergraduate Research Week

Published April 2011

There are many ways for undergraduates to get involved in research and a number of those opportunities will be on display April 12-14 as part of National Undergraduate Research Week.

UC’s Undergraduate Research Council is sponsoring a series of information sessions, demonstrations and tours across campus to highlight the breadth of opportunities for UC students.

An opening session from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in Tangeman University Center (TUC), Room 400B/C will provide an overview of undergraduate research at UC and outline the week’s events, in addition to recognizing previous Undergraduate Student Research of the Month recipients and their faculty mentors.

General information and poster sessions, along with laboratory/facility tours and demonstrations will follow on Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14.

Students attending any of the week’s events will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize drawing.

National Undergraduate Research Week was declared in a resolution by the U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 16, 2010, and is backed by the Council on Undergraduate Research, of which UC is a member institution.

The complete research week schedule for UC is below. Sessions may be visited any time during the hours specified.
