Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Residency Program Reaccredited

Published April 2011

The UC College of Medicine's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine’s residency training program has been awarded a five-year term of reaccreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The ACGME relies on resident review committees (RRC) to review and decide the status of the accredited program. Before an RRC reviews the program, it relies on a field representative visit and a program information form detailing the program’s operation.

The last accreditation for the residency training program was for two years, awarded in October 2008.
