UC and UC Health University Hospital are holding a number of events May 2-7 to honor nurses during National Nurses Week.
University Hospital will hold an educational brown bag lunch from noon-1 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Medical Sciences Room 5051. On Tuesday, the first 40 attendees will get a free box lunch.
On Thursday, an evidence-based practice program will also be held in the morning from 9-11:45 a.m. On Tuesday, breakfast will be provided to nurses with a badge from 6:30-9 a.m., in the University Hospital, courtesy of hospital physicians, and from 8:30-10 a.m., Friday, there will be a Clinical Ladder recognition breakfast and a pinning ceremony in the cafeteria.
Nurses on all hospital units will get free pizza on Saturday, May 7. In addition, the Alumni Association will treat UC College of Nursing students with morning snacks and fruit on Monday, and the Student Nurse Association will serve donuts to students on Tuesday morning.
