UC Cancer Center 'Shops' for a Cure

The UC Cancer Center and Cincinnati Magazine have collaborated to create the Partners Card, a new fund-raising program that supports local cancer research efforts while also giving shoppers a hefty discount at local businesses.

The Partners Card, similar to a retail discount card, offers shoppers a 20 percent discount on purchases made now through Nov. 6 at more than 150 merchants in Clifton, Hyde Park, O'Bryonville and adjacent neighborhoods.

Cardholders also will receive a free, one-year subscription to Cincinnati Magazine.

"Our scientists and cancer specialists are among the most talented in their field, and they're not just delivering the best treaments--they are developing them," says Jack Gluckman, MD, director of the UC Cancer Center. "Partners Card is an easy, quick way for the UC family--and the community--to support important cancer research being conducted right here in Cincinnati."

The Partners Card costs $50, and all card sale proceeds will benefit UC cancer research. Cards can be purchased in the UC MainStreet Connection Center in Tangeman Hall or at
