Community Outreach Stuffed Animal Drive

Published June 2003

University of Cincinnati Medical Center Community Outreach, along with Maggie Moo's and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, are sponsoring a stuffed animal drive June 16-July 11. Collection bins for new and gently used stuffed animals will be located at UC, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, and the Harper's Point and Rookwood Maggie Moo's locations. Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Kemper road will also participate in the drive with collection taking place June 14-July 6. Policemen, firefighters and paramedics in the Greater Cincinnati area will receive the donated stuffed animals to give to children, who happen to be at the various places they are called to, to reassure them that they are friendly and there to help.

Donations purchased at the Cincinnati Zoo will be offered at a discounted price. Employees at UC who purchase their donations at a UC bookstore are eligible for an extra discount beyond their regular employee discount.

For more information, contact Beth Koesters at (513) 558-2463 or beth.koesters@uc.edu.
