Brian B. Adams, MD, associate professor in the UC Department of Dermatology, appeared in the recent film "Seabiscuit." Dr. Adams played the role of a reporter and can be seen at the far left in the popular publicity photo of Jeff Bridges. His scene with Jeff Bridges, the morning before the match race between Seabiscuit and War Admiral at Pimlico Track, was about 15 seconds long and can be seen an hour and a half into the film. "The 15 second on-screen performance took about two hours and over 12 'takes'," said Dr. Adams. "I believe I was only the cause for one of these retakes." Dr. Adams got the part through a casting call of thousands during the fall of 2002.
