Kiomento Receives Bristol-Myers Squibb Award

Dominic Kiomento, MD, third year resident, was awarded the Bristol-Myers Squibb Award from the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. The award, formerly known as the Mead Johnson Award for Graduate Medical Education in Family Practice, was presented to only 20 people. Recipients have demonstrated exemplary patient care and leadership ability.

Dr. Kiomento has received the William D. Holden Award in surgery and was a team leader for medical missions to Honduras. He is a former YMCA counselor and completed his training in general surgery before switching his focus to family medicine. Dr. Kiomento plans to work with underserved and rural communitites.
