Nursing Receives Scholarship Grant

The Helene Fuld Health Fund Foundation has awarded the UC College of Nursing a scholarship grant in the amount of $547,000 to support nursing students in financial need. "The UC College of Nursing was awarded this grant based on its reputation for excellent work in the education of undergraduate students, outreach activity in the community, its work for the Center for Living with Dignity, and the research and teaching strengths of the faculty," said Andrea Lindell, DNSc, MSN, dean. The successful grant submitted to Helene Fuld was the result of the hard work and effort of many. The team included Patty Ragio and Sue Cohen from UC Foundation, and the following from the UC College of Nursing: Dean Lindell; Marcia Hern, EdD, RN, professor; Jan Dyehouse, PhD, MSN, professor; Mimi Martin, PhD, RN, professor; Lynn Sommers, PhD, RN, professor; Lou Ann Emerson, DNSc, RN, associate professor; Carol Deets, EdD, associate dean; Anita Finkelman, MSN, RN, associ-ate professor; Christine Savage, PhD, RN, associate professor; Susan Green; and Mary Ann Rosensweet.
