Andrea Lindell, DNSc, dean of the UC College of Nursing, was honored by College of Nursing faculty at a March faculty organization meeting for her support of the guard and reserve soldiers employed within the college. In addition to the award presentation for Dean Lindell, faculty recognized reserve soldiers in uniform with a standing ovation.

"I have heard that some of them [reserve soldiers] were in service at a time when they were not so honored," said Lt. Col. Evelyn Fitzwater, DSN, RN, associate professor of nursing and commander, 369th Minimal Care Detachment, Sharonville. "As a matter of fact, one told me he was spat on in uniform as a ROTC cadet. I just wanted to let you know how much we were touched by your recognition."
