University Hospital Named In Top 100

Published July 2004

The University Hospital was recently named one of Solucient's top 100 hospitals nationwide in the major teaching hospitals category.

This recognition marks University Hospital's fourth time on Solucient's list. It's the only Ohio hospital named in its category.

"The faculty at the College of Medicine are extremely proud that once again University Hospital has been recognized as one of the best in the country," said William J. Martin II, MD, dean of the College of Medicine. "Cincinnati should see the hospital as a regional resource for care of all complicated and life-threatening conditions."

Solucient's 100 Top Hospitals: National Benchmarks for Success evaluates 2,900 hospitals on three main performance components: clinical excellence, operating efficiency and financial health, and responsiveness to the community.
