Provident Bank, Postal Service Pay Tribute to Cancer Center

Published December 2004

Provident Bank has donatedĘ$25,000 to The Barrett Center to be used for patient care programs at the center and to fund research at UC Cancer Center. At a ceremony rounding out Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the U.S. Postal Service also presented Provident Bank and The Barrett Center with framed enlargements of the Breast Cancer Research semipostal stamp honoring their continuing commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The semipostal stamp sells for a few cents more than first-class postage, the additional funds being donated to breast cancer research. Through September 2004, stamp sales have generated over $40.8 million.
