UC Parkinson's Experts Headline 2006 Symposium

Researchers and clinicians from UC and the Neuroscience Institute at University Hospital will be joined by some of the nationís leading Parkinsonís disease experts for this yearís Sunflower Revolution Symposium and Expo.
The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati.
Sponsored by the Neuroscience Institute, Mayfield Clinic and the Denver-based Davis Phinney Foundation, the event is free to patients, caregivers and health care providers and includes continuing medical education program for physicians.
Parkinsonís experts from UC, Stanford University, University of Austin-Texas, University of Michigan and the University of Colorado-Boulder, will discuss a variety of topics, including Parkinsonís treatments, the genetics in Parkinsonís, protecting brain cells, movement therapy, wellness and fitness, deep brain stimulation, depression in Parkinsonís patients and early-onset Parkinsonís.
